We’re Rachel & Anthony - the husband-and-wife team behind Made Small Design Co. and your new go-to website people.
We know what it’s like to work in and alongside small businesses. We grew up in the Midwest around the kind of people who built their lives with grit and pride—the working class and small business owners who show up early, stay late, and do the job right. And you can probably guess, we were also raised to support local businesses over big box whenever we can, and we proudly do.
Throughout the years, we'd become aware of a glaring problem that we couldn't ignore. As technology progressed over the years, we realized that many small businesses weren't keeping up. Too many were stuck with websites that didn’t reflect the quality of their work - or worse - had no website at all. We refused to accept this as a reality, and we decided to do something about it.

WE DIDN’T COME FROM BIG AGENCIES OR TECH STARTUPS. We come from small businesses—the kind where you wear every hat in the building. We’ve answered phones, stocked shelves, unloaded trucks, and designed flyers on the fly in the back office.
Between the two of us, we’ve got over a decade of experience in design, marketing, and sales—all learned hands-on, in real-world businesses like yours. There’s one college degree between us, but everything we use today was self-taught, refined by experience, and driven by a deep passion for making websites easier for small business owners to manage.
We focused on custom design before we dove into website templates and quickly realized that custom design just isn’t the best option for most small business owners. It required too much time and a budget bigger than most were prepared to spend. We knew we had to make things easier, faster, and more affordable, and so we did.
